Campaign targeting Speaker Johnson will play on Fox News primetime in five states and focuses on Johnson’s efforts to reject the will of the voters, even after January 6.
WASHINGTON – November 1, 2023 – Today the Republican Accountability Project announced a new six-figure ad campaign highlighting Speaker Mike Johnson’s extremism around the 2020 election. The campaign focuses on his efforts to overturn the election and disenfranchise voters in five states that Donald Trump lost, even after the violence of January 6.
Speaker Johnson supported the 2020 lawsuit that would have disenfranchised millions of voters and swung the election to Trump. And he voted not to certify the results in two states. The spot will air during Fox News primetime from November 1 – 7 in all the states where Johnson sought to overturn the will of the voters: Pennsylvania, Georgia, Wisconsin, Michigan, and Arizona.

“Republican Mike Johnson just became Speaker of the House. But he’s the last person who should be leading Congress. After Donald Trump lost the election, Johnson started pushing Trump’s ‘Big Lie,’ pressuring the Supreme Court to overturn the will of voters in four states. And after the January 6 insurrection, Johnson still refused to certify the election results in Arizona and Pennsylvania.”
It closes by saying: “Trump wanted to steal your vote. Speaker Johnson helped him. Today’s GOP: A danger to our democracy.” The ad will play during all four Fox News primetime shows in the Philadelphia, Atlanta, Milwaukee, Detroit, and Phoenix markets, including The Ingraham Angle, Jesse Watters Primetime, Hannity, and Gutfeld.
