Biography
Sen. Rick Scott serves as the junior senator from the state of Florida.
Sen. Scott floated ludicrous allegations about the 2020 election results being untrustworthy. He compared the 2020 election to how elections are conducted in Venezuela, asking in one interview “how is this different than what Maduro‘s doing?” He also objected to certifying the 2020 election results in the absence of any evidence.
After Trump incited an attack on the Capitol on Jan. 6, Sen. Scott refused to hold him accountable during the impeachment trial, calling it a “complete waste of time.”
