William Kristol is a founding director of Defending Democracy Together and chairman of the board for the Republican Accountability Project. He is editor-at-large of The Bulwark. Kristol has long been recognized as a leading participant in and analyst of American politics and served in senior positions in the Ronald Reagan and George H.W. Bush administrations.

Elizabeth Neumann
Elizabeth Neumann served in the Trump administration as senior advisor and Deputy Chief of Staff of the Department of Homeland Security, and as DHS Assistant Secretary for Counterterrorism and Threat Prevention. She is a founding member of the Republican Political Alliance for Integrity and Reform (RePAIR), and Director of the Republican Accountability Project.

Olivia Troye
Olivia Troye served in the Trump administration as Vice President Pence’s Homeland Security and Counterterrorism Advisor, as well as his lead staffer on the White House Coronavirus Task Force. She now serves as Director of the Republican Accountability Project.

Sarah Longwell
Sarah is a Co-Founder of Defending Democracy Together, spokeswoman for its project Republicans for the Rule of Law, and executive director of the newly launched Republican Accountability Project. She is also the Publisher of The Bulwark. She lives in Washington, D.C. with her family and is a graduate of Kenyon College.
