What happened on Jan. 6 can never happen again. The American people deserve to know what exactly happened on that day, what led to it, and why.
We believe that Rep. Liz Cheney is uniquely suited to serve on this fact-finding committee. Her conservative bona fides will give this committee the bipartisan legitimacy it deserves, to find out, among other things, what former President Trump knew and when he knew it. Our national security and our integrity as a democratic republic depend on getting answers.
